Preliminary data:
Completion date: May 17, 2001
Contractor: Schultes, Inc.
Borehole depth: 1650 feetWell depth: 1340 feet
Borehole diameter: 12 inches
Well diameter: 4 inches
Screen interval: 1300 - 1330 feet
Screened aquifer: Lower Patapsco formation
Static water level: 129.14 feet below surface (measured 5/15/01, 08:10 am)
A 24-hour pump test was conducted with a discharge of 70 gallons per minute (gpm), immediately followed by a 24-hour recovery test. Based on the results of those tests, the specific capacity of the well was determined to be 2.45 gpm/foot. The transmissivity of the aquifer was determined to be 22,000 gpd/ft (3,000 ft2/day) from the drawdown test, and 40,000 gpd/ft (5,400 ft2/day) from the recovery test. Total drawdown was 28.53 feet.
Aquifer intervals:
0-50 feet, Surficial Lowland Deposits
50-240 feet, Chesapeake Group
240-430 feet, Piney Point Formation
430-437 feet, Marlboro Clay
437-580 feet, Aquia Formation
580-590 feet, Brightseat Formation
590-1150 feet, Upper part of Patapsco Formation
1150-1550 feet, Lower part of Patapsco Formation
1550-1650 feet, Arundel Formation (?)
