PLEASE NOTE: We do not currently have our web site set up to accept on-line ordering. Please read the terms below. Print out the order forms on the next page, or call the Publications Office for an order form. You may also order your publications over the phone of by FAX. Please also provide your credit card V-Code ready when you order by credit card.
The Verification Code is a three-digit number on the back of your Visa./Mastercard card. The full credit card number is in the signature box and at the end of the number is the three-digit Verification Code.

About our service...

Same-Day Service: The MGS Publications Office tries to process orders the same day they arrive. However, maps that are available only as bluelines generally require additional processing time.
If in doubt, ask. If you have questions about the contents of a map or report or its suitability for your needs, please call or write the Survey before placing your order. We want you to get the product you want. Every attempt is made to produce a List of Publications that is accurate and up-to-date. However, during the course of a year, some publications listed in this booklet may go out of print. Therefore, we encourage you to contact our Publications Office to verify product availability before placing your order.
Payment Policy: U.S. businesses, schools, and government agencies may be invoiced for orders of more than $25.00 by request on official stationery or letterhead. All other orders must be pre-paid by check or money order (in U.S. funds), payable to: Maryland Geological Survey. C.O.D. orders cannot be accepted.
Shipping or Postage: In addition to the costs of maps and reports, each mail order must include the following amount for shipping or postage:

Orders of free publications	No charge
Orders up to $10.00	Add $1.00
Orders of more than $10.00 (does not apply to ES 7; see below)	Add 10% of total, not to exceed $20.00
Educ. Ser. 7 (figured separately from other shipping or postage charges)	For each set ordered, add $4.00
Orders outside the U.S. and U.S. territories	Add $5.00 (U.S. currency)
Be sure to enter the proper amount in the space provided on the Publications Order Form. The additional $4.00 charge applies only to ES 7; the other shipping charges listed above apply to all other publications.

USGS Quadrangle Topographic Maps: Some restrictions apply. See page 15 for more details.
Rolled maps are shipped in cardboard map tubes. Several maps can usually fit into one tube. Add $2.00 for each map tube desired, as indicated on the Order Form.
Customer Information: To help us serve you better, please provide a street address and daytime phone number on the Order Form. We ship most orders via UPS, which requires a street address.
Refunds and Returns: All sales are final. If we spot an error in your order, we will contact you as soon as possible. Should an error occur in processing an order, that part of the order that is in error may be returned for an adjustment. No order or part of an order that is in error should be returned to the Survey without prior arrangement with the MGS Publications Office.
