| ABOUT THE CD CONTENTS: This CD-ROM contains BULLETIN 20: MIOCENE FOSSILS OF MARYLAND in HTML and PDF format. In order to use HTML format you need to have a CD-ROM reader and an Internet web browser installed on your computer. This publication has been tested on both Netscape 4.5 and Internet Explorer 4. The browser you use should support Javascript 1.2 and Javascript must be enabled to take full advantage of the HTML features. If you need a browser, the Netscape 4.7 installation program for Windows and Macintosh is included on this disk in the /bonus/ directory. In order to use the Portable Document File you need Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer. There are images in Bulletin 20 that might not display properly if you are using a version of Acrobat Reader earlier than 4.0. If you need Adobe Acrobat Reader, the Acrobat Reader 4.0 installation program for Windows and Macintosh is included on this disk. Every effort has been made to make this CD compatible with older equipment. This CD contains a search function. The SiteSearch feature in Bulletin 20 and the List of Publications may not function on certain older CD-ROM players. This is due to the CD-ROM's inability to read files with names that do not conform to the older DOS file-naming convention of nnnnnnnn.xxx (8 characters . 3 characters). The SiteSearch Java applet uses files that have more than 8.3 characters in their file names. Older CD-ROMs with updated BIOS and newer CD-ROMs will not experience problems. Included on the CD-ROM:
