Instant Messenger Status for the Online Geologist:

 Look for the MGS geologist online using Trillian, AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), Yahoo! Messenger or Microsoft Network Messenger. If you have Trillian, AIM or YM, you can chat with the online geologist about Maryland geology. The MGS geologist uses Trillian so that AIM, Yahoo and MSN users can all contact us. We do not yet have ICQ or IRC accounts. Add the following name to your buddy list:

• AOL Instant Messenger (AIM): MDGeology
• Yahoo! Messenger: MDGeology
• MSN Messenger: MDGeology
• ICQ: MDGeology
• IRC: MDGeology
• Trillian users can connect to AIM, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, IRC, or MSN Messenger and add MDGeology to any or all of your buddy lists.
• Gaim - another great multi-platform IM client

If the geologist is online, you can ask a question. If you use Trillian, you can simultaneously use the following messengers: AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, IRC, and MSN. Give Trillian a try!

 If you don't have AOL Instant Messenger, get it free from http://www.aim.com. You don't have to subscribe or use the America Online service to use AIM. You can get Yahoo! Messenger at http://messenger.yahoo.com. Trillian is available from Cerulean Studios at http://www.ceruleanstudios.com.

Our public office hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm (Eastern). Sometimes you can catch us online in the evenings, if we can get on our home computer . Because we are often in the field, you will sometimes get our away message. Please leave an message and a time when get can get back to you, or e-mail us at tbird@mgs.md.gov .
